Adobe Photoshop

One of the aspects of photography that we spent an extensive amount of time working on in Dallas was using Photoshop. This program as I am sure most of you know is the premiere program for image editing and enhancing. What you can do to a picture in Photoshop is absolutely amazing. I have spent a significant amount of time since returning from PWP2 learning Photoshop and some of the amazing tools it has to offer. Here are a few of the things I have created.

PWP2 Night Shots

On the final evening of the class we got to go on the roof the place we were staying and take pictures of the Dallas Skyline. Here are two of my favorites.

PWP2 Photo Shoot

Another one of the very cool things we did at IPS was go to the Dallas Arboretum and do a photo shoot of a prior IPS student/model. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph beautiful Rachael Fernandez. She is an amazing photographer and I think she should go into modeling as well. This is definitely one of my favorite photoshoots that I have ever done, I love the lighting and setting... Thanks for helping out Rach, you rock!

PWP2 Portrait Lighting

One of the many cool things we got to work on was using off-camera flash and reflectors to create studio lighting. In a photography studio all the light that is used in the pictures is created by lights placed in specific places by the photographer to create the lighting he or she wants. This is not easy to do correctly and we got to work on developing our skills in this area. Here are three pictures I took using three different lighting techniques.

Prize Winning Photography: Part 2

This past week I had the opportunity to fly to Dallas Texas and attend "Prize Winning Photography: Part 2". This week long intensive photography class condensed roughly a semester long college level photography course into one week! It was a blast, we learned a lot about post production using "Adobe Photoshop", and about using flash and lighting more effectively. I'll be posting photos from the class over the next week or so. Enjoy!
